A vaping craving journal: what to record
Use a short, repeatable note to understand when cravings appear and which situations deserve preparation.

Capture the situation
Note the time, place, activity and who was around. A craving after lunch and a craving during a stressful meeting may have different contexts, even if both feel strong. Keep the note brief enough that you can repeat it.
Describe your experience
Record your mood and how the craving felt, using your own consistent scale if helpful. These notes are personal observations, not clinical measurements. You can also write down what you tried and what happened next.
Look for repeated patterns
Review several entries together. A single entry cannot establish a cause. Repeated situations can suggest moments worth preparing for. Smokefree describes emotional, social and routine-related triggers that may be useful to consider.
Bring the journal into your routine
PuffOff combines craving check-ins with progress tracking and SOS tools. Use the record to support a quit plan and conversations with a professional. A tracker can organise your experience; it cannot guarantee an outcome or select a medical treatment.
