Take comparable nail progress photos
Make your personal photo journal easier to compare with consistent framing, light and dates.
Use a repeatable setup
Choose a familiar place with similar light and a simple background. Keep the phone at roughly the same distance and include the same parts of your hands. Large changes in angle or exposure can make two photos look more different than the hands actually are.
Keep the original record
Save the date and avoid beauty filters or retouching. A photo journal is most useful when it records what was there. NailSafe helps you organise your own images and compare them over time.
Add context when needed
A manicure, a nail break or a change in lighting can explain differences between pictures. A short note can preserve that context. You do not need to turn every image into a measurement.
