What Surv is

Surv is an offline survival manual: written guides, scenarios, checklists and tools that work with no network. Its content is general information, written and reviewed with care, drawing on published guidance such as the European Resuscitation Council recommendations and public civil-protection material. It is not personalised advice.

What Surv is not

• Not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor anything, and it does not replace a doctor, emergency services or a first aid course.
• Not an artificial intelligence. The local engine is a set of hand-written triage rules over the guides in the app. There is no language model on board and none is called over the network.
• Not a street map. The trail map draws your own points and your own track. Carry a paper map.
• Not a substitute for a radio or a rescue beacon. The nearby link reaches a few dozen metres, phone to phone.

Your responsibility

You decide what to do. Survival situations are unpredictable and depend on facts the app cannot know. Always follow the instructions of the emergency services and local authorities where they differ from anything you read here. Check that any practice described is lawful where you are — trapping, hunting, radio transmission and self-defence are regulated almost everywhere, including in a crisis.

Subscriptions and purchases

Every life-saving guide, the Field mode, the guided triage, the compass, your coordinates, the SOS light, the whistle and the CPR metronome are free, with no account and no subscription.

Surv Pro unlocks the full library, every scenario in full, the inventory with expiry alerts, waypoints and all the tools. It is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription with a free trial, or a single lifetime payment.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your device's subscription settings at any time.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• The lifetime option is a single payment and does not renew.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple's terms. We cannot issue them ourselves.

Liability

Surv is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the app or from decisions taken on the basis of its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Intellectual property

The text, design and code of Surv belong to their author. You may use, print and share the app's guides for your own preparation and for helping people around you. You may not resell them or present them as your own.

Law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
