What the app is

Dual N Back is a working-memory trainer built around the dual n-back task. Two streams arrive at the same time — a position on a grid and a spoken letter — and you decide whether what you are getting now matches what appeared N turns earlier. You start at N-1; reach 80% accuracy and the next level opens. Levels run to N-15, and Triple through Hepta add colour, shape, quantity, size and border as extra simultaneous streams.

Frequently asked questions

How do I restore a purchase?

Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of any main screen, then choose Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and carry across every device signed in to it. If nothing restores, check that you are signed in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then email us.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Dual N Back Pro. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for.

The App Store says purchases are unavailable

Close the app completely, check your connection, and make sure you are signed in to the App Store (iOS Settings › your name). If it persists, email us with your iPhone model and iOS version.

How do I reset my progress?

Tap the gear icon, then scroll to the bottom. There are two separate options:

• Reset progression — clears your unlocked levels only. History and records are kept.
• Reset All Data (History & Records) — clears everything: levels, session history and personal bests.

Both ask for confirmation, and neither can be undone.

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your device. We run no servers and collect nothing — see the Privacy Policy.

Does dual n-back raise IQ?

Dual n-back is the most studied working-memory task since Jaeggi's 2008 work. Whether training transfers to fluid intelligence is still debated in the literature, and we do not claim that it does. What is measurable is your progress on the task itself, and the app puts that on screen.
